Currently, we are seeking a Test Engineer with at least 3 years of experience testing embedded wireless devices, GPS receivers, and/or CDMA & GSM/GPRS modems. Responsibilities

  • Write and execute product validation test plans for telematics products and accessories at a system level.
  • Develop test procedures that exercise key features of each product platform.
  • Coordinate with other individuals and organizations to execute tests locally and in different geographic regions.
  • Identify and procure equipment needed to conduct tests.
  • Analyse test data, generate detailed and executive summary reports, and log all data associated with each test for historical trend analysis.
  • Document all test anomalies along with associated device configuration and procedures.
  • Escalate validation issues to engineering and business managers when urgency requires immediate escalation.

Qualifications

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field
  • Interest or experience with wireless engineering and test activities
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python or similar)
  • Familiarity with IP networks and routing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with MS Excel (Formulas, Pivot Tables, etc.)


Strong Pluses

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field
  • Experience with test automation tools (Labview or similar)
  • Experience testing and debugging communications systems
  • Experience with cellular modems, gps technology, embedded systems, and client server technology
  • Experience with quality systems: configuration management, version control, status reporting
