  • Lead New Product Introduction projects with a cross functional team within the business unit and the supply chain, working towards the common goal of introducing new products with focus on meeting all customer expectations including but not limited to cost, quality and timing.
  • Manage NPI, ATE & Manufacturing Engineers responsible for New Product Introduction. The Team is responsible for product structure, supplier selection, proto builds, cost negotiation, test processes, manufacturing and product quality.
  • Work closely with both internal Product Development and Operations teams and third party Contract Manufacturers and ODMs. Assist in selecting and managing the relationship with key ODMs and CMs.
  • Identify and drive areas for Product Development Process improvement and NPI best practices by leading efforts/teams focused on identifying the primary root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Provide design input during new product development.
  • Provide on-site support at suppliers for new product build and validation
  • Assist new product introduction (NPI) with APQP and PPAP process for key customers, Review APQP and PPAP deliverables from EMS suppliers
  • Assist with maintaining certifications (ISO 9001, CCC, UL, CE, FCC) by producing necessary supporting records and reports

Must Haves

  • 5+ years working with Asia-based Tier I/II electronics manufacturing service providers and ODMs
  • 7 years relevant experience in New Product Introduction, including understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and related quality standards
  • Experience in Project Management and leading a New Product Introduction team
  • Full understanding of ISO9001, TS16949, APQP, EU RoHS, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Proficient with ERP & PLM Systems and tools, MS Office, and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent communications skills and positive attitude
  • BS Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Science preferred). 

Strong Pluses

  • Experience at a tier-1 automotive or heavy equipment supplier a plus
