Currently, we are seeking a Commodity Mangement Director with at least 5 years of experience.     Responsibilities

    As a Commodity Management Director, you will manage the procurement function to deal and negotiate contracts directly with vendors. Strategically seeks out Diversity suppliers and obtains cost savings to meet the supply and service needs of the business.

    • Develop focused sourcing strategies by identifying opportunities, defining current processes, designing new process, identifying benchmarks/metrics and making recommendations for improvements
    • Manage and deliver on new sourcing processes by developing project plans, forming cross-functional teams, planning recourses, selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, leading teams, and implementing new and improved processes
    • Manage and monitor vendors by setting goals and objectives and measuring achievement
    • Manage procurement process and develop cost savings programs
    • Leverage financial analysis skills to assess supplier proposals and understanding of supplier cost structure 
    • Assess suppliers against their contractual commitments and develop performance improvement plans for those not meeting commitments 

    Qualifications

    Must Haves

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • At least 5 years of commodities and purchasing experience
    • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
    • Knowledge of RFI, RFQ, RFP processes and requirements
    • Demonstrated negotiation and analytical skills
    • Ability to manage and develop supplier relationships
    • Project Management skills
    • Knowledge of contracts and financial administration
    • Knowledge of goods and services
    • Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments
    • Strategic thinking
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)

     

    Strong Pluses

    • Bilingual English-Spanish
    • Bilingual English-Mandarin
    • Experience with Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries or equivalent
    • Ability to support the selection of NPI materials
    • Greenbelt certification
