    Responsibilities

    We are seeking a Summer 2019 Electronics Technician Intern for our Eden Prairie, Minnesota office.

    • Support engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype systems and experimental design circuitry
    • Conducts engineering tests to collect design data
    • Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment and assists with determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions
    • Performs assembly and test work as required during development and prototyping
    • Debug basic electronic and mechanical test and assembly

    Qualifications

    Must Haves

    • 1+ year of experience in an lab environment
    • 1+ year of experience with electrical schematics and hardware troubleshooting
    • Ability to provide good quality written reports and oral presentations
    • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with other individuals in a team or project setting
    • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, take the initiative to get things done, and do things before asked

    Strong Pluses

    • Ability to solder surface mount and through hole electronic components such as 0402, QFNs, BGAs, etc.
    • Understanding of Electromechanical Products and associated documentation, i.e. Schematics, Fabrication, Parts lists, Assembly Drawings
    • Hands-on experience using test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, etc.) and standard measurement tools (micrometers, verniers, and microscopes)
