    CalAmp’s Information Technology Department is a service-oriented group that is responsible for the planning, implementation, security, maintenance and troubleshooting of various Information Systems throughout the CalAmp Enterprise. With 400+ end-users and 1000+ information systems throughout multiple facilities across the globe, this team maintains CalAmp’s internal business platforms that support the administrative, financial and manufacturing functions of the company. Additionally, the team supports multiple customer-facing platforms that provide provisioning, configuration and monitoring capabilities to approximately 500,000 subscribers and 2+ million proprietary wireless devices.


    Manager, Business Systems will conceive, plan and manage all business system projects related Enterprise Applications. Primary focus will be on Oracle related platforms and SCM/FIN/EPM Cloud applications. Projects may also involve other 3rd party business information transactional and analytical systems.
    This resource will work with internal users of various organizational groups (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Planning & Manufacturing, Finance and Accounting, Operations, Sales and Marketing etc.) to define requirements and to identify, analyse and deploy business system solutions.


    Responsibilities and tasks will include, but are not limited to:

    • Identify, plan, test and deploy business information systems to support user business flows.
    • Hands-on ownership of Oracle Cloud ERP implementation projects and drive them to completion within time and budget allocation working along with users and implementing partners
    • Analyze Functional needs of Operations group and Finance group, recommend improvements/changes to business processes based on best practice flows and design and deploy system solutions to enable these processes
    • Empower users with knowledge in using Oracle and other business system platforms by conducting workshops and joint testing sessions.
    • Manage work and deliverables of 3rd-party ERP project contractors/consultants engaged to study and improve Company’s business system flows within or outside of Oracle Cloud platforms


    Must Haves

    • A college degree (BA/BS) in Accounting and/or Computer Information systems, or equivalent work experience
    • Additional Business Information systems training and/or job experience
    • Additional Supply Chain/Costing/Operational systems training or work experience
    • Project Management certification or experience in lieu of certification
    • Excellent staff management skills, team-oriented work ethics and positive attitude
    • Ability to interface with senior management, especially with Sr. Execs of Operations, Logistics, Finance and other SME users
    • Three to five years of project management and hands-on experience with Oracle projects
    • A self-driven and service-oriented approach in dealing with internal customers
    • Ability to thrive in multi-tasking, stressful, yet forwardly mobile, technology and multi-cultural environments
