    Responsibilities

    The Contract Manager will support CalAmp as part of the Legal Department. This individual will be responsible for reviewing NDAs, sales contracts, and Customer Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, as well as driving and administering the contract lifecycle for the company’s contracts, including maintaining the contracts database. The Contracts Manager will also manage all law firm invoices, and work closely with CalAmp’s FP&A Team to ensure accurate forecasting, budget planning and compliance, and analysis; and, will perform administrative duties to support the Legal Department, as needed.

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Review and negotiate NDAs and Customer Purchase Order Terms and Conditions in accordance with company policies and procedures
    • Coordinate with cross-functional departments to review contracts
    • Draft contracts and amendments using company templates
    • Deploy and manage a Legal Work Flow intake system
      Provide high level summaries of contract terms
    • Understand and analyze contract terms, including potential risks involved with specific contract terms
    • Drive the contract lifecycle (initial review of contracts, negotiations, execution of contracts, storage of contracts, manage deadlines for contract renewals/expirations, etc.)
    • Manage and maintain the contracts database and generate metrics
    • Process all legal invoices
    • Work closely with FP&A for legal budgeting
    • Assist the Legal/Contracts Department as needed

    Qualifications

    Must Haves

    • Skills & Experience: 3+ years’ experience in contracts administration and contracts management in the technology space
    • BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience
    • Percent of Travel Required: Less than 20%
    • Service oriented
    • High level of accountability and responsibility with proven record of independently seeing tasks/projects through completion with minimal supervision
    • Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Aptitude for problem-solving using logic and sound judgment
    • Exceptional communications skills (verbal and written)
    • Take initiative and anticipate the needs of managers and the Legal Department
    • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
    • Flexibility in adapting to change and shifting priorities
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Strong organization and execution skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact professionally and effectively at all levels inside and outside of the organization
    • Command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    Strong Pluses

    • Hi-tech industry, especially SaaS
    • 15-20 years' experience
