Currently, we are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer with at least 10 years of experience.     • Assist direct and channel sales teams to qualify prospects based on technical feasibility
    • Prepare customized presentations and product demonstrations for prospective customers where the audience likely includes C-levels, Operations, Purchasing and Engineering
    • Co-author customer-facing material such as RFP’s, RFI’s, SOW’s and system/solution designs
    • Interpret customer stories and their objectives into a formal written requirements definition
    • Interface with internal engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and support teams to collate information needed to deliver requirements, proof-of-concepts, and other customer deliverables
    • Design and then manage expectations to deliver proof-of-concepts through scripting, SQL, API integration, etc, with the expressed goal of bringing customers to a buying decision
    • Be well versed in all of CalAmp’s products, how they integrate, and how to capitalize channel partner solutions, including other common third party solutions
    • Develop account story books and manage a smooth transition of the solution to the post-sale integration and support team, which may include some leadership role to get into production
    • Proactively engage relevant sales managers, program/project managers, product line managers, engineering managers, in any account escalations, new findings, or other critical information
    • Accurately track the status and condition of every account, technically, sales stage, and tone
    • Service limited post-sales support matters on an as-needed basis or during an escalation


    Must Haves

    • Highly proficient e-mail, telephone, presentation, and in-person communication skills
    • Strong architecture design background in IoT Platforms as a Service and IoT Applications
    • Multiple of the following: Cellular, BT/BLE, WiFi, IP Networking, JSON API, SQL, Security
    • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar.
