Currently, we are seeking a Director of Inside Sales with at least 7 years of experience building Inside Sales organizations.     Responsibilities

    • Build a multi-tiered Inside Sales organization to support all CalAmp domestic and international sales teams.
    • Manage and provide leadership to your Inside Sales team focusing on account management, pipeline and forecast management, coaching individuals on sales effectiveness, transactional sales techniques, and meeting established quotas.
    • Responsible for the direction, support, advocacy and motivation of the Inside Sales team to meet agreed targets and objectives.
    • Participate in goal development, setting territory quotas and execution of performance appraisals.
    • Be accountable for the achievement of quarterly and annual sales objectives for the Inside Sales team, as a whole.
    • Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to ensure the effective and timely recruitment, onboarding, and retention of new hires.
    • Assist leadership with annual operating plan, forecasts and sales strategies.
    • Places emphasis on Customer Experience and ensure CalAmp’s commitment to customer satisfaction is performed, delivered, and constantly improved.
    • Work closely with marketing on sales campaigns and lead generation.
    • Accountable for accurate and on-time Sales reporting. Ensures Salesforce.com pipeline and forecasts are updated. Create and manage Inside Sales dashboards.
    • Analyzes and reports out to senior management on department performance through KPIs.
    • Establishes the department training roadmap.
    • Ensure that CalAmp’s values and culture are embraced and embodied by all members of the department.

    Qualifications

    Must Haves:
    • 7+ years in a Inside Sales leadership role supporting Sales teams in a technical industry
    • Experience building and managing large Inside Sales teams
    • Able to build relationships establishing trust and rapport within all levels of the organization while maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism
    • Experience with Salesforce CRM
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related degree
    • Willing and able to work in our Carlsbad, California center of excellence
    • Willing and able to work to travel 25% or less
     
    Strong Pluses: 
    • Industry Experience: Internet of Things (IoT), Telematics, SaaS, Automotive
