    Responsibilities

    • Drive architecture of Test Platform
    • Enhance existing test strategies for production testing by including Design for Manufacturability/Testability/Reliability/Cost (DFx) analysis with Design team and Supply Chain.
    • Validate test related equipment/processes and documents proper operation. Conducts Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Gage R & R and DOE studies as required.
    • Interfaces with Product Development, Production, Procurement, Quality, and the Supply Chain to ensure a smooth product launches, transitions, and improvements.
    • Document, report and track progress on test platforms
    • Support the transition of assembly and test processes to outsource partners.
    • Review, improve and approve outsource partner detailed Test Instructions.
    • Provides training to Test Technicians. Provides production support of manufacturing processes resolving production issues, both electrical and mechanical, as they arise. Assists in troubleshooting and failure analysis.
    • Monitors the status of engineering documentation release, facilitates progress, and coordinates resolution of issues. Actively participates in Change Controls and approves ECOs.
    • Provide avenue for outsource partners to suggest and facilitate improvements to designs Automated Test System (ATS) and associated tests allowing for increasing capacity and lower costs.
    • Effectively communicate status and metrics to internal team members and management

    Qualifications

    Must Haves

     

    • 7+ years in a high volume electronics manufacturing and testing development (Required)
    • Cellular, RF radio or other telecommunications experience (Required)
    • Demonstrated knowledge and working experience with automatic test equipment hardware, python or expect and data systems. This could include C/C++.
    • Experience with Cellular 3G, and 4G (LTE) technologies desired (protocols, configuration files, SIM cards, etc.)

     

     

    Strong Pluses

    • C++ &/OR  Visual Studio
    • Python, VBS, Batch Files
    • Experience with wireless protocols such as Bluetooth and WiFi
