Currently, we are seeking an Engineer II, Test Automation with at least 2 years years of experience, based in Carlsbad, CA. Responsibilities

  • Create comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure high-quality software products.
  • Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform end-to-end testing to validate the functionality and performance of software applications across various platforms and environments.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and debugging of software issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Continuously improve test automation processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the implementation of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes.

Qualifications

Must Haves

 

    • Proficiency in a programming language (preferably Python)
    • Experience with test automation frameworks such as pytest, Robot Framework, etc. (preferably Robot Framework)
    • Experience with source control software such as Bitbucket, Github, Gitlab
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong problem-solving ability
    • Obtained or in progress towards Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or electrical engineering with embedded programming experience.

 

Strong Pluses

  

    • Experience using REST APIs and JSON based objects, as well as Git and version control
    • Previous Computer Science internship(s)
    • Working knowledge of Linux and Bash Scripting
    • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines and tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
    • Knowledge of wireless networks and networking protocols (TCP, UDP, etc.)
    • Experience with CAN bus / vehicle bus
    • Experience with GPS, WiFi, cellular modems, Bluetooth/BLE
