Currently, we are seeking a Senior Engineet Test with at least 3+ years of experience, based in Mexico City, Mexico. Responsibilities

  • Create and develop comprehensive and well-structured test plan strategies, test cases, and best practices related to firmware/hardware test engineering (both manual and automated testing with a specific focus on efficiency) based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Execute test procedures that exercise key features of each product platform.
  • Coordinate with other individuals and organizations to execute tests locally on the bench in the office environments as well as drive tests for any CATM/2G related driving in the region.
  • Identify and procure equipment needed to conduct tests.
  • Analyze test data, generate detailed and executive summary reports, and log all data associated with each test for historical trend analysis.
  • Document all test anomalies along with associated device configuration and procedures.
  • Escalate validation field issues to engineering and business managers when urgency requires immediate escalation.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and debugging of software issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Work with Engineering, R&D team to determine effective technical solutions for customer applications and fix any application-specific field issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform end-to-end testing to validate the functionality and performance of software applications across various platforms and environments.
  • Work with other engineers to update and maintain technical documentation.
  • Responsible for installing, maintaining and debugging telematics devices in limited employee vehicles within the region.

Qualifications

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related degree
  • 3-5 years experience with embedded systems, wireless networks, and client server technologies (i.e. IoT, distributed systems, etc.), design, validation, and volume production
  • Experience with cellular modems, GPS technology, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE
  • Knowledge of embedded software modules for Diagnostics, CAN Communication
  • Testing and debug of communications systems
  • Excellent communication (in English) and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in a programming language (C, C++, .Net, Python, Java, etc.)

 

Strong Pluses

 

  • Experience with quality systems: product development and compliance testing. 
  • Familiarity with IP networks and routing
  • Experience with development environments for test automation and reporting: Vector CAPL, Python, C#
  • Experience using REST APIs and JSON based objects, as well as Git and version control.
  • Previous Computer Science internship(s)
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Bash Scripting
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines and tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of wireless networks and networking protocols (TCP, UDP, etc.)
  • Experience with CAN bus / vehicle bus.
  • Experience with AI tool sets
