Data Analytics & Operations Analysis

• Data analytics
  
  • Arranging anomalies of data consumption, identifying errors in data, and taking measures to resolve them
  • Auditing report data
  • Carrying out statistical analysis of business data from the company
  • Coordinating tools for process management and ensuring that cycle guidelines are adhered to
  • Designing comprehensive data reports and other business tools to assist business managers and executives in making good business decisions
  • Documenting structure of company business data which serves as a guide in execution of tasks
  • Evaluating business data to identify their different characteristics and locate their similarities to find ways they can be integrated for better results
  • Interacting with internal and external employees to have good knowledge of the business as a result of the data analysis
  • Working with business leaders to provide analysis of department data

• Metric programs and analysis
  
  • Analyzing, trending, and comparing operational performance to industry benchmarks
  • Introducing new metrics and reporting to provide additional / new perspectives on business processes
  • Providing ongoing analysis of key metrics to ensure continued relevance
  • Weekly, monthly, and quarterly operations dashboards and scorecards – capturing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Planning management efforts
  
  • Building, developing, and growing cross functional business relationships vital to the success of the organization
  • Coordinating annual standardization of position descriptions related to the Global Operations department

• Policies and procedures
  
  • Documenting business process workflows
  • Documenting policies and procedures for Global Operations department
  • Monitoring and reporting standard operating procedure oversight 

• Serving as subject matter expert (SME) for anything related to Data Analytics & Operations Analysis responsibilities under Business Operations

K-12 Integration Support

• Create K-12 application customer accounts
  • Assisted SQL database creation
  • Remote desktop interaction
  • Smartsheet review and update
• Create, modify, and maintain reporting specific to K-12 application integration support efforts
• Integrating customer's routing software provider into the K-12 application
  
  • Routing provider software integration
  • Use basic coding skills like JSON, Regex, Powershell, etc. to complete integration
• Routing software to K-12 application support
  • Interacting with offshore development teams
  • Reviewing, actioning, and completing JIRA support cases
  • Reviewing, actioning, and completing Salesforce support cases

Network Provider Management 

• Administering access to network provider portals
• Designing / Reporting comprehensive network provider data reports
• Enabling visibility to network provider invoicing cycles
• Ensuring CalAmp Accounts Payable team retrieves network provider invoices for payment approval routing
• Interfacing / Liaising between network providers and CalAmp
• Maintenance of network provider APNs
  
  • APNs (Access Point Names) = Gateways or protocols that allow access to the internet by using the services of mobile phone networks
• Managing data pools and making decisions to avoid cellular consumption data overage charges from network providers
• Reconciling network provider-to-subscriber accounts, eliminating deactivated subscriptions with the network provider, and confirming deactivated subscription removal from network provider invoices
• Reviewing contracts and ensuring compliance with terms of contracts
• Serving as SME for anything related to Network Provider Management responsibilities under Business Operations CalAmp’s network providers include, but are not limited to, the following:

Process Improvement

• Analyzing existing processes and finding ways to make more efficient for own and other departments
• Providing feedback and recommendations to management
• Improvement as they relate to Global Operations cost, quality, and service
• Understanding business operations model and costing related to improving efficiency

Reporting

• Reporting includes, but is not limited to, the following:
  
  • K-12 Integration support metrics
  • Network provider management
    
    • Contractual minimums status
    • Cost trends
    • Data pool utilization
    • Reconciliation dashboard
    • Static IP pool health
  • Quarterly business review
  • Platform stability / service level agreements (SLAs) by SaaS platform
  • Subscription metrics by SaaS platform
• Serving as SME for any of the aforementioned reporting topics
• Validating and ensuring report data integrity

Special Projects & Ad Hoc Requests, as determined by Business Need

• Completing special projects and ad hoc requests, as assigned
• Projects include, but are not limited to, the following:
  
  • Account deactivation cross-check implementation (system vs. billing vs. network provider)
  • Athena Data Connection (ADC) implementation as subscription system of record 
  • LoJack Mexico, TRACKER UK, & K-12 Solutions integrations
    
    • Network provider management; Recurring subscriptions reporting
  • Operations Planning merge with Business Operations
• Serving as Operations Analysis & Network Provider Management representative on cross functional teams, as assigned
